Supply-chain technology developer i2 Technologies Inc. will deliver a factory-management platform to Molla S.r.l., an Italian forging producer. The i2 Total Factory Management software will be installed to improve delivery performance and to perform real-time due date quotations.
“Because of the high demand for our products, we are looking to improve our planning and scheduling to provide superior customer services,” explained production manager Giuseppe Molla.
Molla S.r.l. produces hot-rolled rings in carbon and alloy steels. “We looked at all relevant solutions in the market and after a very thorough selection process, we decided to work with i2 based on the solution’s richness of functionality, proven customer references and their ability to work with an existing local partner,” according to Giuseppe Molla.
i2’s Total Factory Management software is designed to let users quickly react and synchronize factory production plans and schedules. It can simultaneously manage material and capacity constraints to develop feasible operating plans, to meet delivery requirements and business objectives.
